My dad's 1st car!

This is my dad's very first car, an '84 Ford Sierra 2.0 Turbo.

He was 17 years old when he bought the car, but it wasn't his yet. What I mean with that, is that my uncle and my father bought this car together and shared it. Later (that's in '93 when I came to the world ) my dad got this Sierra for himself, because my uncle met my aunt and shared a MK1 Renault Twingo together. (My uncle is 2,10 m tall, and he looked ridiculous in that little thing XD) [link]

During it's time with my family did it make some changes as well. A new transmission was fitted, new brakes, radiator, suspension and exhaust (the transmissions of a Sierra were not that good back then and were causing a lot of trouble).

However, even I have witnessed the car, but I can hardly remember it. I was a little boy of 1.5 years old when he owned that thing. My dad traded his Sierra for a Suzuki Swift SA413 when he married my mom. (I was 2 years old back then and it was in 1996) [link]

My father's reaction when he saw this drawing was: Gaaf man! het is hem echt precies! / Awesome! It's exactly the same one I've driven!

I used a reference photo from Wikipedia [link] , some old photographs from my grandpa and even an old video that my father made back in 1994 to copy the license plate, color of the car and even the vinyls on the car itself. (which was very very difficult to get them perfect)

Those letters came from an original Ford Sierra brochure from 1984 and everything is exactly the same as the real one my dad have driven (unfortunately this car doesn't exist anymore)

This is even the first facelift version of the Sierra and even known as Ford Sierra MK1.

Totally spend: 4 days, and I love the end result!

I sold this drawing to my father, and made a copy for my uncle to keep this car in their memories forever.
