Volvo 164 in Amsterdam

Do you guys remember this photo? I used this one as background for my Daf 33 [link]

This picture is taken at the Prinsengracht in Amsterdam and I really love the location of the Volvo!

These Volvo's are still common here in Holland, there are 1000 left in Holland and you'll see them in all kinds of conditions. (from rotten till beautiful restored)

The Volvo 164 is similar to the Volvo 140 series, but it's wheelbase is longer (because of the 6 cylinder engine)

Designed by: Jan Wilsgaard (in fact a Dutch car!, but he designed more Volvo's like: the Amazon [link] , the 140 series [link] , 200 series [link] (well, the Volvo 262 C was made and designed by Bertone in Italy [link] ) , 700 series [link] , well actually almost all the Volvo's are designed by him. (the Volvo 300 series is designed by Michelotti in Italy and produced by Nedcar in Holland and by Volvo car in Sweden [link] )

Top speed: 180-192 km/h (120 mph)

Fuel consumption: 6,4 km per liter (16 mpg) -_-

Prices: around €5000,- (for a good one, but project cars are cheaper and they're worth around €8000 in excelent condition!)

I regularly see these things around here, but I'd rather take a 142 or 144 (they're more economical).

I like these cars and they're like war tanks when it comes to reliability!
